Possible Racial Profiling

This just made the front page of the Republic today. A statewide study of Arizona Department of Public Safety traffic stops has discovered evidence of possible racial profiling. This study, conducted by the University of Cinncinati, determined that there is a higher rate of arrests and vehicle searches when the person behind the wheel is a racial minority. They pointed out that Highway Patrol was twice as likely to search the vehicle of African-Americans and Hispanics. What is great is that the research then went on to state that this data is not necessarily proof of racial profiling.
You gotta love it. This may not be profiling? What? This is the definition of racial profiling. But I'm not even surprised. It's amazing how this evidence can be looking right at you, and you choose not to see it.
