OMG. I can't wait to see Life Is Hot in Cracktown. The main reason I want to see this film is pictured to the left. Kerry Washington is quickly rising to the top of my list of favorite actors. She is so much more than just a pretty face (and a hot body). She's has twice played a lesbian. That fact alone places her very high on my radar. She is very politically savy and holds her own with Bill Mahr. I love a lady that is abreast on political and social issues and actually is an activist for things she believes in. But it is this latest movie that takes her to the top for me. In her latest role in Life Is Hot in Cracktown she plays a male-to-female transgender individual. This is a lady that is not afraid to tackle complicated and complex characters that are frowned upon or feared by others in Hollywood.The trailer for the movie looks hot. Even without Ms. Kerry I would go and see it, but she is just the icing on the cake. I loved her Ray. I loved her in She Hate Me. And I am sure I'm going to love her in this part.
