25 Years For Not Disclosing HIV Status

This is one for the What the F*ck file. A man in Iowa has been sentenced for having sex with another man and not informing his sex partner that he was HIV positive. The man has been sentenced to twenty-five years. If that ain't enuff of a kicker, the man that is the supposed "victim" in this case does not have HIV. He just feels like a victim because he says he should have "had a choice" in whether he chose to be intimate with someone that is HIV positive.

And just when you thought you'd heard it all, guess what? In addition to his sentence, Nixk Clayton Rhoades will also have to register as a sex offender, undergo a sex offender treatment program, will have lifetime parole after his release and must uphold a five-year no-contact order with the sexual partner in addition to other court costs and restitution.

I thought Iowa was the progressive place to go to since they are one of the few states that allow for same sex marriage. This really is ridiculous. There is no way a judge should be allowed to get away with this.
