Finally Seeing Justice Three Years Later

The family of Gregory Beauchamp who was murdered in 2003 may finally be seeing the justice they want. According to the guys over at Queerty, a man has now been brought up on charges and the incident will be considered a hate crime. What is interesting is that the man being brought up on charges is already in prison. The crime happened on New Year's eve 2002 in Cincinnati. A witness reported that someone yelled anti-gay slurs at three men wearing dreses and then opened fire on them. Gregory (in the picture to the right) was 21 years old when he was killed. It was his murdered that led the Cincinnati Ciy Council to expand hate crime legislation to include sexual orientation.
